At 82, Cora is obese, allows himself a little too much and smokes more anxiolytic than reason. Yet the day when her children placed in a nursing home is ECT. Determined not to linger in this cul de sac, Cora makes every effort to regain control of his life. And for that, he must confront a past too long kept secret ... More than a character, Cora is an encounter between a woman and often irreverent intractable, that of a fair and honest vote on which one can only listen. It tells us that disobedience is often the first way to freedom, and above all, it is never too late ... A novel bursting with energy and emotion as close to things in life. The back cover is fairly faithful to the book (for once!). What he should have contained more, these are a few lines to describe this magnificent history lesson of perseverance and pride ...
Cora took over the day it is placed in medical facilities. She abandons her pills, weight loss and falls in love with Vitus. It is through books she received from her granddaughter that she scribbles her story. She has a big secret, the kind that leaves his entourage to discover that after his death ... This end of life is sad, but Cora is so determined to regain control of his life that is a must for she and the reader to understand what it feels very heavy weight on his shoulders through his behavior. Without this secret, I might have thought that this woman is sharp and cold for no reason, but when a person is such a secret without being able to speak, it changes the perspective.
I often say, a book I like even more when it comes to draw on my experience and that Cora remember my two grandmothers who were well above the 82 years that reflect the character and not to leave their homes, their memories and their freedom ... if it is reduced with the inconvenience brought by old age.
is a book touching passages containing some slightly vulgar (as it must retain some sense with the character!), But overall, this is a book that reads very well and leaves no indifferent. Thanks to
Publishing 10-18 and BOB for sending this!
